Meet Michelle — the cake maker behind Derby Cake Maker
Creating cakes has been my full-time passion and profession since 2009. I love working with customers to turn their ideas into bespoke cakes that are as memorable as the occasions they celebrate.
Every cake is made to order, with careful attention to detail, from the design and decoration to the finished presentation. Whether you’re planning a wedding, celebrating a milestone birthday or marking a special family occasion, I’ll work with you to create a cake that feels personal to you.
I believe a beautiful cake should taste as good as it looks. I offer a range of sponge options, including selected gluten-free, eggless, milk-free and vegan choices, subject to your requirements.
I’m proud to hold a five-star food hygiene rating, a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and allergen and intolerance training, and to be fully insured.
Based in Oakwood, Derby, I offer a personal, one-to-one service, with enquiries handled promptly from the initial conversation through to your finished cake.
Since 2017 I have been in the top 3 rated cake makers in Derby. This is not achieved by buying into a scheme or getting lots of friends to vote for me (like a few other ‘awards’ out there). It is a genuine achievement based on my online history, experience, customer reviews, quality of data, website standard and social media etc.etc. I purposely do not enter myself for ‘awards’ as I do not believe in their credibility. My work, reviews, repeat business and the fact I’m doing this full time simply speaks for itself.
