Cake making has been my full time business since 2009 which means I am a dedicated cake maker with no other distractions like another job. In a previous life I was an office worker and because of my office background this means I’m also quite computer literate which comes in handy for things like edible image editing and creating and maintaining my own website, albeit a basic one and full of flaws to the trained eye.
There’s deadlines every day and every day I strive to make people happy with their cakes. I am very lucky to have such wonderful customers who keep coming back to me several times each year for their cakes. I bake regular sponges along with eggless and gluten free too. I also offer milk free cakes and vegan.
I make cakes from my home full time which has been inspected by Environmental Health and given 5 stars. I also have a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, allergen and intolerance training and I’m fully insured.
Since 2017 I have been in the top 3 rated cake makers in Derby. This is not achieved by buying into a scheme or getting lots of friends to vote for me (like a few other ‘awards’ out there). It is a genuine achievement based on my online history, experience, customer reviews, quality of data, website standard and social media etc.etc. I purposely do not enter myself for ‘awards’ as I do not believe in them. My work, reviews, repeat business and the fact I’m doing this full time simply speaks for itself.
